Cherry Vanilla Loaf "Cake" Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. orange zest
  • 1 pkg. (10.5 oz.) NEWTONS FRUIT THINS Cherry Vanilla Cookies, divided
  • 1/2 cup cherry pie filling

Instructions

  • Spray  9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray; line with plastic wrap. Beat cream and sugar with mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form. Gently stir in zest.
  • Spread  half the whipped cream onto bottom of prepared pan. Stand 28 cookies (on their sides), in 4 rows of 7 cookies each, in whipped cream, overlapping as necessary to fit. Cover with remaining whipped cream. Gently tap pan on counter several times to remove any air bubbles. Refrigerate dessert 4 hours.
  • Unmold  dessert onto plate; remove pan and plastic wrap. Top dessert with remaining cookies and pie filling.
